I finished Metal Gear 4 over the weekend, and I must say I was quite satisfied. It ties everything up with the series quite nicely and felt like a real end for Snake. Extremely satisfying, and the best game for PS3 so far hands down. If you have a PS3 and don't have this game you are quite clearly a fool.

This is the first Metal Gear game where I think I can, and am actually going to try and get the Big Boss ranking. Whether that says something about the difficulity of past games, or the difficulty of this one I'm not quite sure, but I think it has to do with the elimination of the restriction on how much you can save on one play through.

Inspired by a certain part of the game, I got nostalgic and have come up with my Metal Gear Solid series ranking. Based entirely on my personal opinion of the game as a total package. I put more emphasis on the gameplay side rather than the story side as well. Complete disregard for any technological limitations brought about by the system it was on. Note that these are based on the original releases of each game, ie. the version I own. Also I have only played through MGS4 once so far. I haven't really explored the game yet, like I have with the others and as such it's position is still up for debate.

MGS > MGS3 > MGS4 > MGS2
